Ladies and Men Vote to Merge

At 11.30 AM on Saturday 4th November 2017 history was made at concurrent meetings of the WCGU and the WLCGA . Whilst the Wiltshire Ladies held their AGM at North Wilts, the Men's Union held a Special General Meeting a few miles away at Kingsdown Golf Club.

Delegates and Council Members were asked to consider two propositions - Firstly to dissolve both the Union and the Association, and secondly to then incorporate a new Company (Wiltshire Golf Ltd) that will manage amateur Golf in the County.

Both meetings voted yes to the resolutions almost unanimously, easily surpassing the 75% (WCGU) and 66% (WLCGA) majority required to dissolve the respective organisations.

This is a momentous decision for Wiltshire Golf, and further details of exciting future plans will be available on the website by the end of the week.
