Wrag Barn win Seniors Team Shield

Consistent scores, all over 30 points, ensured a narrow win for Wrag Barn in the Ramsbury Team Shield at Ogbourne Downs on 3rd September with a best 3 from 4 score of 107. This was only a two point margin over High Post whose team was anchored by Melvyn Earle's 40 points, the best score of the day. The Hamptworth club finished third on 100 points.

The team, pictured above receiving the trophy from County President, Jerry Gegg, were Norman Jeffery (37 points), David Povey (36), Roger Hunt (34) and Chris Lewington (32).

The course was beautifully presented and the Club were tremendous hosts providing ball spotters and starters and excellent catering for the 14 teams from Wiltshire clubs.
