Alresford Cup 2015 Fabulous Result for Wiltshire Girls!

FABULOUS RESULT FOR WILTSHIRE GIRLS!

On 27 September on a beg at Alresford Golf Club in Hampshire, girls’ teams from seven countautiful sunny morninies gathered to compete for the 2015 Alresford Cup. The counties were Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Wiltshire.

Six girls competed from each county, one with a handicap of 0-9, two with handicaps of 10-15, two with handicaps of 16-24 and one with a handicap of 25-36. Wiltshire’s team comprised Seona Mauchline (High Post), Ashleigh Thorne (Wrag Barn), Alex Sadler (Tidworth), Lauren Brooks (N Wilts), Laura Curtis (Cumberwell & Whitley) and Hattie Dunn (S & S Wilts). 

Each girl played an individual stableford competition and the best four scores in each county were added together for a final result. With outstanding scores
from all our girls, our final result put Wiltshire in second place to Kent (Kent: 138, Wiltshire 132). A tremendous achievement, especially as our three lowest handicaps are all aged fifteen or younger! 

Even better, Lauren scored the best overall score in the competition, an eye watering 41 stableford points!
