The match turned out to be a close one with Karen and Natalie winning on the 16th, all four ladies then sat down to a welcome Tea/Coffe and Cake. The two Hilary’s wishing that the following day would not be as bad weather wise as they were playing in the Handicap Knockout Final.
What a difference a day makes the Final of both the Scratch and Handicap Knockouts were played on Sunday 7th October at Bowood.
The course at Bowood was stunning with Autumn leaves on the trees in full colour, it was warm and sunny with no wind. The fairways were rolling and the greens were very receptive due to the rain the previous day.
The Scratch Knockout Final was played between High Post and Chippenham, with Chippenham being represented as well in the Handicap Knockout Final along with Manor House.
Both Finals were played in great spirit and were well fought with matches going down the 18th. High Post emerged victorious in the Scratch Final to regain the Trophy for the second year running.
