2020 Wiltshire County Junior Boys Golf Programme Application Process

The 2019 Wiltshire County Junior Boys Golf Programme comes to an end on Monday 30th September 2019.  After this date all Wiltshire County Junior Boys squads will be disbanded and new ones formed for the 2020 season. 

All boys who wish to be considered for a place on the 2020 programme must apply to the County before the closing date of Tuesday 1st October 2019.  This includes all players on the current Wiltshire County Junior Boys Golf Programme. 

The 2020 application process will be slightly different from previous years.  There are no trials - squads are to be selected based upon criteria set out in the 2020 Wiltshire Golf County Junior Selection Policy Document.  The content of this document is currently being discussed by the County.  The County is also currently discussing the squad structure for 2020.  These will be published in due course. 

Wiltshire has enjoyed fantastic success over the past few years at all levels of county golf, especially junior golf.  We are a small county in terms of golf clubs and numbers of players compared to other counties such as Yorkshire, Lancashire, Hampshire and Surrey to name but a few. What we lack in numbers we more than make up for in team spirit and camaraderie.  It would be great to see this success continue in 2020. 

Players are welcome to apply now or you can wait until the Selection Policy Document and squad structure are both published.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be an announcement about the 2020 Wiltshire County Junior Development Tour later in the year.
