Ladies Coronation Medal Final 2019

The Coronation Medal Final took place on Sunday 25th August at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club. 

Not all the winners from all clubs were able to attend but 27 ladies represented 15 clubs most of whom had participants in both Divisions.

Laura Curtis from Cumberwell Park took first place in Division 1, Laura had an outstanding round finishing on a net score of 69, Trudy Feltham from Chippenham Golf Club came second with a net score of 70 and in third place was Olivia Bannon from Broome Manor with a 72.

In Division 2 – Lesley McCabe from South Cerney Golf Club came first with 74 nett, followed by Jackie Lawton form Chippenham Golf Club in second with a net 77 and in third place was Helen Winchurch from Upavon Golf Club.

Congratulations to them all and to all those who participated, full results are on the County website.

Many thanks to the referees, Nigel Duda and Graeme Wearn who were on hand to assist with any rules queries but were not too busy and to Ogbourne Golf Club, the staff and their members for a super day.

The course was presented in good condition and the staff all looked after us admirably.

We will run this event ‘in club’ again next year and include the Men and Boys so it is more inclusive, and I am sure will make for another super Finals day of great golf and fun.
