Wiltshire Junior Boys Off to a Flying Start

Saturday 2nd March 2019

Wiltshire county junior boys have started the 2019 season in spectacular style, the under 16s beat a very strong Hampshire side by 5.5 to 4.5 at Broome Manor Golf Club, while the U14s beat an equally strong Hampshire side by a score of 3.5 to 2.5 away at Sandford Springs Golf Club. The results are even more special when you consider our teams contained some players with no experience of playing county golf this is a tribute to our County Junior Golf Programme as some of these boys have come up from the Development ranks and now play for the county junior elite squads. Well done to Steve Brewer (Wiltshire U16s Team Manager) and all his players, also well done to Chris Roberts (Wiltshire U14s Team Manager) and all his players. Wiltshire county junior golf is very lucky not only do we have some of the best officials, coaches and players we also have the best parents you will find anywhere, their help and support is second to none. A massive thank you to Kay Hall and all her fantastic staff at Broome Manor Golf Club for allowing us to hold our U16s match at the club and for looking after us so well.
