A hat trick of Boys Championships for Jamie

With rounds of 75 and 73 Jamie Amor won the County Boys Championship for the third time at Marlborough GC today and became only the second player ever to win the Championship on three occasions after Gary Harris achieved the same feat in the 90's. Jamie's wins at Upavon in 2012 and Tidworth in 2014 sandwiched his brother Ben's win at Cumberwell in 2013. Now Jamie once again has the bragging rights in the Amor household. Jamie held his nerve after a shaky start took him to 3 over par after 5 holes but birdies at 7, 8, 9 and 11 got him back on track and he held on for a two shot magin.

Some excellent scoring was returned on the day, notably by Kyle Campbell (Wrag Barn) who took the nett prize with two great scores of 64-65 off his 12 handicap.

Another one to watch, Dom Walter (Cumberwell Park), only 12 years old, finished in a tie for second place with two gross scores of 75 together with Dominic Burgess (Salisbury +SW) who also shot two 75's.

The course was in great condition and the club were welcoming hosts and the Championship produced a worthy winner. Congratulations Jamie.
